About Corwin

Corwin Betters is a boy with many talents, lots of energy, and a big love for his pets.  He wrote The Adventures of Crooks the Cat when he was ten years old, turning the running comedic commentary of the family pets into a story that tells the secret life he imagines they live.

While often found with a book, Corwin is also a second baseman and pitcher for his Little League team, a black belt in karate, and a Boy Scout with Troop 779.  He lives in Walkertown, North Carolina, with his Mom, Dad, and sister, Mia…and of course, Crookshanks and Pyroar, his pet cats.  Corwin also adopted a mixed breed puppy, Sassafrass, who we call Sassy!  Corwin’s grandparents also have a huge impact on his life, and you will meet many of their pets throughout the Adventures too!

Corwin is homeschooled and loves to study literature and grammar.  He loves his church family and serves as a liturgist and on the tech team.  He leads a busy life, but always ends the day reading with Mama before bed.  His cats and their imaginary shenanigans bring so much joy to our day-to-day life, we hope you will fall in love with their quirky personalities and check out each Adventure that they take!
